Blackhawk air intake 71-1562 is designed with a durable black powder coated metal intake tube. It is designed to smooth out and straighten air flow in order to increase vehicle performance. The Blackhawk 71-1562 also replaces your factory air box with a blacked out K&N air box. This air intake is designed to work with your vehicle's factory mass air sensor and air temperature sensor as well as factory bolts for air box installation.
Also included in the Blackhawk 71-1562 is a high-flow oil-free, Dryflow® air filter (RU-5283HBK). This synthetic media air filter is black in color and requires no oil. The air filter's large surface area protects your engine by providing excellent filtration. It is also washable and reusable, so you'll never need to purchase another air filter for your Blackhawk air intake again. It can easily be cleaned with our Synthetic Air Filter Cleaner (99-0624) and may last up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. The K&N Drycharger air filter wrap (RC-5112DK) is also available for this air filter and sold separately to provide additional engine protection. Blackhawk air intake systems are designed for select gas trucks, diesel trucks and muscle cars only and are covered under the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. K&N's 71-1562 Blackhawk air intake is guaranteed to provide additional horsepower and acceleration to 2010 through 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 Pickup 6.7 liter diesel engine models, as well as 2011 and 2012 Ram 2500 and 3500 6.7 liter diesel engine models. Dyno testing revealed an estimated gain of 7.1 horsepower at 3,010rpm and an additional 18.5 foot-pounds of torque at 2,630rpm.
