The 2012 Yaris SE is based on the 2012 Yaris Liftback, Toyota's new sporty, fuel efficient compact car. The vehicle also has outstanding safety features. Bestwick's Yaris is powerd by a Toyota 1NZ-FE 1.5 liter motor with VVT-i. It features K&N Air and Oil Filters.

The suspension is designed by Cusco and features a Zero-3 Series Suspension kit and Center Lock Pillowball Upper Mounts, along with Pagid RS29 brakes and equipped with AEM Performance Electronics EMS Series 2. The Yaris Club racer was built by SportsCar Magazine and utilizes the all-new second-generation Yaris SE three-door hatchback.

The goal is to provide a cost friendly car for amateur and professionals alike to be able to gain experience in SCCA racing. The car features graphics paying tribute to the 1998 Toyota LeMans pole-winning GT-One racer, as Toyota prepares for its return to the famed racing series in 2012.

Bestwick, a seven-time X Games champion and former Dew Tour Athlete of the Year, expressed his excitement at a press conference at the SEMA Show in the Toyota Manufactures exhibit. The goal for the team is to qualify for the famed SCCA National Championship Runoffs in 2012, to be held at the world-renowned Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
