At first glance calling the 2007 Mini Cooper "All New" may seem like a ruse. Upon closer inspection the surprisingly significant changes make themselves better known. While European pedestrian impact standards dictated minor changes to exterior dimensions, the biggest surprise comes from under the hood. A lot of investment was made into new engines for the Mini Cooper. An all-new turbocharged 1.6-liter engine powers the Cooper S. The new turbocharged engine offers a nice bump in both horsepower and torque over the previous generation Cooper S. Nevertheless, K&N engineers took one look at the car and decided that more could be done.

That's exactly what K&N did with Performance Air Intake System 69-2004TTK. Great consideration was put into the design of part number 69-2004TTK. Exclusive features include a stepped intake tube to eliminate the need for special adapters while improving air delivery. The location of the step was carefully tuned to provide greater increases in power. Additionally, a special angled silicone adapter was created to maintain the factory location of the stock crankcase vent hose. 69-2004TTK incorporates a highly unique heat shield that bolts to the bottom half of the factory air box. This retains the original cold air induction keeping inlet air temperature within factory specifications. The result of this hard work and dedication is an extra 11 horsepower at the wheels for the 2007, 2008, 2009 to 2010 Mini Cooper S.

K&N's Research and Development Department tested a 2008 Mini Cooper S 1.6L I4 on our in-house dynamometer. Results showed an astonishing peak horsepower gain of 11.1 horsepower @ 4700 RPM! 69-2004TTK provides increased performance and an attractive black powder coated aluminum intake tube.

K&N cold air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten airflow. This allows your engine to pull in air with ease compared to the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it. With a K&N Performance Air Intake System, consumers can count on extra horsepower whether daring the morning commute, or weaving along a winding country road.

This air intake system uses a conical shaped high-flow air filter (RU-4960) and powder coated aluminum heat shield in place of the vehicle's stock air box. The result is an air filter that captures harmful particles, flows more air, and increases service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the engine is the powder coated aluminum intake tube. Our powder coated aluminum intake tubes offer power and a stylish appearance. The 69-2004TTKair intake takes about 90 minutes or less to install, using stock mounting points. It requires no cutting or drilling and it is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

For increased protection and style, K&N offers a Drycharger® filter wrap that can be used in conjunction with part number 69-2004TTK. Drychargers® are made from a durable polyester material containing uniform micron openings which will stop small dirt particles and repel water; yet add little restriction to the airflow of your filter. Available in a variety of colors, K&N Drychargers® can be color coordinated with your car's finish.
