Jesse Adams Takes March Meet Title at Auto Club Famoso Raceway near Bakersfield, California

"52 times this race has been contested at this historic racing facility and I can now proudly say that Jesse Adams won the March Meet. This is something I can tell my son about. That's how much it means to me." "Winning the March Meet was awesome," continues Adams. "It was my first time attending the historic event, and it couldn't have been better. From the day I dropped my entry in the mail, attending the March Meet was never about the money. Traditionally these events do not provide the huge payouts that you find at other events, but the atmosphere, attendance, and history of the event make it the premier nostalgic event in the world annually."
Adams' plan from the get-go was to have his guys, Tim Charlet and John Rogers from CRX Promotions, to generate buzz about him and the K&N Camaro. After that the pressure was all on Adams to perform. "The car was perfect. My driving that weekend was textbook. I think my K&N teammate Dan Fletcher would have been impressed," reflects Adams. "I had many friends watching the event online, and my FaceBook was going crazy with friends, family, and fans checking in. I think overall, that is what made the whole experience great." "Not only did I win the March Meet with the baddest racecar, supported by one of the best companies in motorsports, but I did it with so many people watching and supporting from hundreds, if not thousands of miles away. I also had a few great friends helping me out at the track. I can't explain how much fun it was." Infinite Graphics, located in Sacramento, California, created the vinyl wrap on Adams' car; Adams used photos from Dan Fletcher's and Warren Johnson's racecars as an example. "The design was finished just before SEMA, and I believe it is a one of a kind," adds Adams. Adams says he's been around K&N guys for years, long before he was ever even driving a racecar. "I was at the track with my dad and guys like Steve Williams, Bob Harris, Greg Boutte, and so many others were there." "Last year I was doing very well in the Sacramento Raceway NHRA E.T. Bracket Series. I ended up winning the Super Pro track championship in my Camaro (pre-K&N colors). The best part was that I won that championship as the slowest car in the category, off the bottom bulb, and without the use of typical Super Pro electronics/driver aides." Adams was running Comp Eliminator for the first time in Seattle, Washington, when he approached Steve Williams about wanting to become a part of the K&N team. "We talked racing for a bit and I rolled out of there with a promise of further discussion. And, a few weeks later we struck a deal." "I must say my timing was right and I feel honored to be a part of K&N now," remarks Adams. "On one hand it puts more pressure on me to perform at the level of other K&N teammates, but on the other, my car is tough looking and has the look of a winner before it is even on the track." Adams says he hopes to successfully defend his 2009 Sacramento Raceway Super Pro title, and he would like to dial it up one notch on his Pro E.T. second place finish from last year. "I'll be ready for the E.T. Finals and a shot to race for the World Championship this year too," says Adams. "I also hope to attend many big buck bracket races, including the 50k race in Seattle, the Medford Megabucks event in Medford, Oregon, Thanksgiving in Las Vegas, and everything I can attend in between. I would really like to put the K&N Camaro back into legal Stock Eliminator trim and attend some National and Divisional events as well," concludes a highly motivated Adams.
